About Our Book Club

About Our Book Club - A group of thirty-somethings, with busy lives, who love getting together in an evening to discuss a good book!

Who We Are

Here's a little bit more about our book club....

Our book club has been getting together every 4-6 weeks since 2007. That's a fair few books we've managed to read and discuss! Most of which, have made it onto this website.

Members have ebbed and flowed, but there are still a core group who have remained throughout that time period. We are mostly professional working Mums with young kids. Our day jobs include lawyers, accountants, full time Mums, sales and marketing execs, health care professionals and teachers.

We are lucky enough to have a retired English teacher amongst our group. She always adds something useful to our discussion. She has also been a huge help in writing this website - so for that, I thank her whole heartedly.

When we are not working or looking after our kids (over 18 of them between us,) collectively we enjoy running, swimming, sewing, arts and crafts, dancing and of course reading.

Our Location

We nearly all live in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, around its many beautiful beaches, but predominantly around Bronte (pictured below). For those of you who have ever visited Sydney and taken the coastal walk between Bondi and Coogee, you will have walked past one of our houses. None of us live in any of those huge mansions you see over looking the water, but we are all able to easily get to the beach for a quick swim or paddle with our kids - We feel very lucky!

You can join us and either post questions or comments before we meet. Or read what we thought of the book and then add your own comments. If we get enough followers, we can do it live!

Fancy Making Some Money By Building A Website About Something You Love?

Reading and our book club is a personal passion of mine. I've turned it into a way to make money just by writing about it on the internet. If you can use a computer, you can do the same. Find out more on my Build Own Website page
